House music inspired design. House was first created in the early eighties, originating mainly from Chicago. Using drum machines and hypnotic synth bass, the music exploded into the UK in clubs like the Hacienda in Manchester and Shoom in London in 1987. DJ's like Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles were heavily influential in the creation of a music genre that still fills dance floors, festivals and clubs worldwide.
